Long Sat Nams: Meditation to Completely Neutralize Tension
Posture:
Sit in easy pose. Overlap the palms about 4-6 inches in front of the heart center.
Mudra:
Palms up. Right hand on top of left. Fingers extended. Press the left thumb into the center of the right palm. Pres the right thumb over the left thumb.
Drishti:
Eyes are 1/10 open when starting but may close as the meditation continues
Mantra:
Inhale deeply and exhale fully as you chant, "Saaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaat nam" The ratio is 35:1. You may start off with 12 or 15 seconds Sat to 1 second nam.
I found this kriya very calming and comforting. I liked doing it before bed. I also liked doing it in the morning because of how much joy it would bring me. I could really feel it vibrating in my heart space.
